CHESS CLUB
IN SUMMER
The main objective of this program is to use chess as a tool to improve your child’s self confidence, imagination, concentration and intuition, while developing logical, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.

The Class
Chess Levels:
Level 1:
5 to 6 years old - Kids will be introduced to the pieces : pawn, rock and bishop. The program will give them effective and appropriate tools to make them understand how to move those pieces and how they interrelate in order to maintain positions.
Level 2:
7 to 8 years old - Kids will be introduced to the queen, horse and king. They will learn how to move those pieces and how the big picture looks with all the pieces.
Level 3:
8 to 10 - Kids will develop strategies to create positions on the board. This level is for advanced students.
Level 4 to 6:
These are advance levels, where kids plan completed strategies and develop the game.
The course follows a project-task approach, and has appropriate activities according to the student's age and level.
